Stomp Classic

2018 is a wrap. Thank you everyone for coming out and supporting the event. We received so much great feedback and testimonials. We will be uploading pictures but here a short drone video.

Single Track rock decent

After a 17year hiatus the Stomp Classic is back. A  60km XC Mountain Bike Marathon with an epic single track section (Stomp) and technical features you will not find elsewhere.  The event is located at Stake Lake just outside of Kamloops.

For 2018, our 60km Stomp Classic event is part of the 2018 BC Premier XC Marathon Series and the 2018 Provincial Championships. The event festival is on the July 7th/8th weekend and will feature 5 cycling distances. The 60km “Stomp” race concludes out of two laps of the classic loop. The 20km “Mediator”  race features a single loop.  All of these events are on July 8th.

We do not forget our Juniors and Kids. Bring your children for our FREE 10km “Junior Trail” race and/or for our 1.5km “Little Bikers” event (all required is a Kamloops Bike Riders Association membership).  In addition we host a skills clinic. These events are on July 7th.

The 60km Stomp Classic is part of the 2018 BC Premier XC Marathon Series. Riders are required to hold a BC Race licence (Provincial Race License or a UCI licence) or an out-of-province UCI license to be eligible for series points tracking and standings. Points are calculated from the results of each race, ranking riders in the series standings. Series points will be cumulative for all races, with all available points contributing to the series standings. More info about the BC Premier XC Marathon Series can be found here (2017 information only available at this point).

Unlicensed riders will be able to purchase one day licences and race in their selected categories; unlicensed riders will be able to win the category on the day but will not have access to series points and are therefore not eligible to become the overall series winner.

The 20km event requires a one day license or BC Race licence for insurance purpose.

Any of our kids races will require day of race registration and are FREE. Only thing required is a Kamloops Bike Riders Association Membership.
